The Atari wireless CX78+ gamepad has an issue with its stock gray d-pad where you can press it down all the way and hit all four directions at once: this screws up gameplay with impossible direction inputs, missed inputs, accidental diagonals, etc. These new custom designed parts fix this issue and also improve ergonomics for an overall enhanced gameplay experience on your Atari 2600+ and 7800+ consoles (and the original systems too!)
Either d-pad or thumbstick part will also fit the wired version of the CX78+ in case you want to change the aesthetic of your controller or just give it a different feel.
If you wish, your controller can be changed back to its original state at any time, the modification is reversible and does not damage anything.

You must unscrew the six philips screws on the back of the controller, open it, remove the original gray dpad and replace it with the new 3D printed part.
