This is a press-fit 3D printed kit designed to replace the original conductive rubber membrane of the Nintendo N64 Z-Button with a levered microswitch. Instead of a mushy, squishy feeling Z-Button you get a snappy, positively actuating trigger that you can feel- carefully designed to not require any more finger force than an unmodified N64 controller. Smooth action yet palpable, no missed pulls, easier repeat fire. Installation is relatively simple, but you'll need a little soldering know-how, a willingness to use a screwdriver and a wire stripper. This modification is completely reversible and requires no permanent alteration to your controller!
N64 controller is NOT included.

You may need to secure brackets with a dot of hot glue but they are designed to seat snugly. Relevant screws, a brand new microswitch and wire are included with each kit. As this is a DIY alteration, it is the buyer's responsibility to know what they're doing! Note that there could be some dimensional variance in the injection molded parts of your controller that the 3D printed parts fit into. You may have to perform some filing or use a razor/sharp knife to widen holes of the 3D printed parts if things are too tight. These kits are designed to fit snugly as it's better to have excess material instead of 'not enough.'
Any questions or troubleshooting requests are welcome!
